JUST MISSED BY HIMANSHU BHATIA

Just missed is an amalgamation of love, humor, drama and emotions. It is a contemporary love triangle connecting Siddharth Gupta, Shreya Malhotra and Shivam Malhotra. The author has done a laudable work by writing down a good romance story which is a very light read with an up to par ending.

The story explores how Indian parents scour around the spouse for their children and how their thoughts and wishes impact the life of their own children. The book also highlights that in today’s fast running career oriented generation and running after luxuries can give you stability, position and honor that you craved for, but of course you need to pay a heavy cost for that at times. Ambition and love for work has been taken care of here into a different level altogether, by proving the fact that luxuries are not that easy to get hold of.

A remarkable feature of this book is the lovely bond between these characters, whether it a brother-sister relationship, or parents-children relationship, friendship bond, love knots, every relationship has been presented here with the most possible realistic way, and the charm lasted till the very extreme.

The touch of sarcastic humor throughout the story gives a smooth flow which nourishes the engagement with the plot and the pictorial representation of every scene is another plus point. The emotions, be it the conundrum of Shreya about her feelings, the mental fight of Shivam, the genuine friendship, the love of parents, the heartache from the past of both Shreya and Shivam respectively, the crave for love, the desire for higher designation, the sacrifice of Shivam, the betrayal of Kanika, the lover boy and romantic heart of Shivam, the ups and downs of phases at different times in the love trio; everything is portrayed transparently.

Overall this book will give a roller-coaster ride of a Bollywood flick which might satisfy everyone’s romantic heart. So I would love to recommend this book to every love readers, romance lovers and to everyone looking forward to a refreshing light lovely read.
