An Unquenchable Excess Of Love by Anjutha Ranganathan

An Unquenchable Excess Of Love is collection of poems and quotes related to everything in life- love, humanity, healing, heartbreak. Each piece has it's own uniqueness that portrays the writer's thought behind every particular page. At some point, it was good to connect with the poem but at times, some pieces expressed conflicting thoughts and emotions. The cover of the book is beautiful and attractive, and I absolutely loved it. The book is divided into 3 parts, namely, The Falling, The Breaking, The Healing; and the poems and quotes or one-liners are diverse. The Falling (Part 1) holds more of hopeless romantics, while the Part 2 i.e; The Breaking covered the heartbreak and it's experiences. One of my favourite piece from the book is Incompetence and few more from The Healing (Part 3). This part motivates you to face life in all its forms. Some short, some long, some written in the old English style, some in free verses- so there is diversity both in terms of content and the style adopted. It is written in a way that seems like someone is right there, talking to us. Reading such poetries and quotes at the right moment when you actually need it can really make that difference in you. The language used by the authoress is simple and crisp. Overall it was a light read, and anyone can complete it within a short time span even if you decide to read at the most slow pace ever. The book can be tried if you are in a mood for a light, cozy and occasional read.
